Description
Kennedy Jenks provides engineering and scientific solutions for

We are seeking a motivated individual for the role of Document and
Project Controller.
What you will be doing:
This position is responsible for seeing that any project
documentation such as submittals, Requests for Information (RFI),
Field Notes, Inspection Daily Reports (IDR), and correspondence are
prepared, processed, and maintained in accordance with the contract
plans and specifications. The position also involves in-house
project control to manage and process invoices and backup
information to our clients as per their requirements and
managing/tracking our budget for various project/clients. Daily
tasks will include:
Interact with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors,
and others.
Assist the construction manager (CM) to review project submittals
and RFIs for compliance with plans and specifications.
Participate in weekly meetings and manage documentations including
meeting agenda and notes.
Prepare and distribute memos, meeting agendas, and meeting
minutes.
Assist the CM in reviewing schedule changes and impacts.
Assist the CM in reviewing progress payment applications from
contractor.
Assist CM in in-house invoicing and tracking budget
Post RFIs, clarification letters, field memos, and other changes to
the plans and specifications.
Act as backup to other office personnel in invoice and budget
tracking.
Prepare and edit various project documents and reports as delegated
by the Construction Manager.
Manage and process all project documentation, electronically and
hard copy filing, according to established procedures.
Maintain hard copy and electronic versions of all correspondence in
project filing system.
Work on multiple projects as needed.
Cross reference submittals and RFIs with plans and specifications
to validate requests.
Assist the CM to draft letters, memos, and correspondence.
Requirements:
BS/MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline, or
Construction Management, is preferred.
At least three years of related experience. Experience in
construction environment is preferred.
Knowledge of construction management software is preferred.
Familiarity with materials, means, methods, tools and contractual
obligations involved in the construction or repair of various
structures and civil infrastructure is a plus.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to travel as needed
