Description
We are seeking an experienced senior candidate with a proven track record in leading applied ML research. The responsibilities include developing multimodal Generative AI models that deliver high-quality outputs and enable new capabilities for production-focused user experiences. This involves distributed training of large-scale models involving image, video, and audio modalities, along with research optimizations for efficient deployment on devices. Ensuring high quality in real-world applications, mitigating bias, and preserving privacy are core principles. The role requires close collaboration with ML researchers, software engineers, hardware, and design teams.
Minimum Qualifications

• 
  
• M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or related fields such as Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, guiding complex design decisions, and maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and scalability.
  
• 8+ years of experience training or adapting image/video/audio generation models (e.g., SDXL, Flux) for downstream tasks.
  
• Proficiency in ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  
• Strong programming skills in Python or other high-level languages.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Experience with distributed training.
    
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Objective-C.

    Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including base salary within a range depending on skills and experience, stock options, benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursements, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance. The salary range for this role is $197,400 to $296,300.
