This position requires the candidate to work a hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the Seattle, WA office, and Monday and Friday working remotely.

Position Summary:?Our client is seeking an experienced Senior PM to work closely with Functional and Technical leadership, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to plan for and manage key project activities as we design and transition to our new cloud-based HR system.

This role demands a proactive project leader who can effectively balance strategic planning with hands-on project management and task execution.? The successful candidate will be responsible for project management of the work on a Talent track, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning workstreams, and support other work outside of the Talent space as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

Project Leadership, Planning and Execution: Lead and manage multiple, concurrent workstreams from initiation to completion. Partnering with HR and IT Leaders, take ownership and accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, project governance, and quality standards. Develop and manage plans that outline the scope, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, risks, and interdependencies. Coordinate project activities, track progress, and manage project risks and issues. Monitor progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during project implementation.

Project Team Management and Execution: In conjunction with functional and technical leaders, lead a project team, assigning roles and responsibilities to team members. Provide direction, guidance, support, and motivation to ensure effective teamwork and project collaboration. This position will also be expected to dig in and perform certain hands-on work necessary such as data and requirements analysis and documentation, development of presentations and other documentation to support the project.

Stakeholder Management and Communications: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the program leadership team, external partners, and team members. Manage expectations, solve problems, escalate issues, and drive decisions.

Project Governance: Establish and follow project governance structures, processes, and frameworks to ensure effective decision-making, risk management, and reporting, including regular progress reporting, milestone tracking, and project status updates.

Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources across projects. Optimize resource utilization, address conflicts, and monitor resource availability to ensure project success. Work with project coordinators to schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the workstreams. Develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and escalation procedures to minimize potential disruptions and address challenges. Maintain RAID log.

Monitoring and Control: Implement processes to monitor and control project progress, milestones, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Regularly assess project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide status reports to stakeholders.

Change Control: Manage changes within the project, including changes in scope, requirements, or timelines. Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on the project, document change decisions, and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.

Vendor Management & Partnership: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, process enhancements, and lessons learned.


Must Have Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience noted below

Work Experience: 8+ years of progressive, relevant experience in a Project Manager role. Experience managing complex, large-scale/enterprise system implementations from beginning to end, meeting budget, scope, schedule, and benefits targets.

Expert leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.

Experience effectively managing and partnering with large, 3rd party system implementation partners.

Experience managing vendor selection processes including RFI/RFP.

Ability to execute at both a management level without direct control, as well as effectively perform hands-on detailed tasks and work as the project requires.


Additional Desired Qualifications

Experience implementing HR/HCM software solutions for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Learning.

UKG Pro implementation experience.

Proven ability to plan and execute work in agile sprints while providing full transparency into the progress to complete the agreed upon project scope in alignment with project level milestones and deliverables.

Direct experience leading both Agile and Waterfall projects.

Hands-on experience with Smartsheet and Azure DevOps for project and sprint management.

Enthusiastic collaborator with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
