The Global Health Division harnesses advances in science and technology to save lives in low- and middle-income countries. We focus on high-impact health challenges that receive insufficient attention and funding. Our work spans from disease prevention and treatment to investments in vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics, ensuring sustainable delivery of proven health solutions.*This position is a limited-term position for 24 months. Relocation will be provided.Your RoleAs an Officer, Strategy, Planning and Management, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive impact across the foundation. This role requires a high degree of flexibility and comfort with ambiguity, as you will be expected to operate in a variety of different capacities depending on organizational needs. You will be working with the Deputy Director, Special Initiatives, to incubate new ideas, support select Presidential priority programs and facilitate cross-cutting collaboration across the division and the foundation.You will be responsible for managing high-impact projects, collaborating with leadership teams, providing analytical and strategic insights, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about the mission, eager to prove themselves by delivering results, and open to growth.What You'll Do

• Lead and support strategy development and implementation projects, working closely with senior leadership.
• Develop analytical frameworks to evaluate strategic options and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Project manage multiple programs, balancing strategic vision with executional detail.
• Consult with internal teams and external stakeholders to co-develop and refine strategic initiatives.
• Synthesize research, data analysis, and stakeholder insights to shape high-level decision-making.
• Design and implement performance measurement approaches to assess strategy effectiveness.
• Develop materials (presentations, memos, reports) to effectively communicate strategic insights.
• Support cross-functional initiatives, facilitating collaboration across departments.
• Adapt to evolving priorities, shifting seamlessly between projects and roles as needed.
• Challenge assumptions and bring fresh perspectives to strategic discussions.Your Experience
  • A proactive, adaptable, and results-driven team member who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable insights.
  • Experience working on strategy development and execution, ideally in global health, development, philanthropy, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling presentations and reports.
  • Comfort operating in highly ambiguous, unstructured environments and adapting to change.
  • Ability to challenge ideas constructively, think critically, and approach problem-solving with a growth mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis tools.*Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.The salary range for this role is $140,200.00 to $210,200.00 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $152,800.00 to $229,200.00 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hire salaries are typically between the salary range minimum and midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
