Technology (IT) is responsible for providing direction and
leadership to the engineering, system administration, network, and
service desk teams. The position will plan, coordinate, direct, and
design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as
provide administrative direction and support for daily operational
activities of IT personnel. This position collaborates with senior
managers across the Credit Union to identify, recommend, develop,
implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background,
exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving
innovation and efficiency within IT departments.Quick

Accountabilities
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with KCU objectives
and growth plans.
- Keep current with technologies through direct research on
potential technology solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and systems
requirements priorities and allocate resources accordingly.
- Maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that
supports business needs. Assesses and makes recommendations on the
improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous
improvement in the department.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members
and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Lead IT Department operational planning, purchasing, budgeting,
and asset management.
- Overall responsibility for the deployment, monitoring,
maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems,
including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and
peripherals.
- Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the
improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT
systems.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses
for IT spending and initiatives.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including
those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards,
purchasing, and service provision.
- Develop requests for proposals and negotiate, administer, and
manage vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manages IT operations in accordance with budgetary objectives
and personnel policies by recruiting, selecting, orienting,
training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining
employees; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee
job contributions; maintaining compensation; resolving problems;
and implementing change. Directly supervises the manager of the
service desk.Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in managing and deploying Azure cloud services,
configuring and maintaining Hyper-V virtualization, and optimizing
hybrid environments to ensure seamless integration and efficient
performance across on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL database
management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet
deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Demonstrates a high level of engagement and active
collaboration contributing to a positive team environment.
- Understand, model, and represent KCU's core values.Required
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with at
least 5 years in a leadership role.
- IT planning and development including managerial experience
supervising others.
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant industry standards,
best practices for IT infrastructure, and service management.
- Experience in IT security management, including hands-on
experience with risk assessment and incident response.
- ITIL v4 certification required or obtained within six
months.Preferred Qualifications and Education
- Master's degree in computer science or related field.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and
technologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cross team projects
- Security/Network certifications a strong plus.Our
