Job Number: 210496 Department: VM Federal Way - Gen Surgery Hours: Variable Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a BE/BC General Surgeon with Bariatric Surgery to join our team. Position highlights

• Expanding Bariatric Surgery Practice with strong outcomes and center of excellence designation in 2006
• Take over an established and high volume practice with cases out of our Regional Medical Center in Federal Way and Seattle
  • Access to OR time in Seattle and Outpatient Surgery Center in Federal Way
  • Expand two high demand areas in bariatric surgery while providing care for general surgery Qualifications:
    • BE/BC General Surgeon
    • Fellowship or advanced training in Bariatric Surgery
    • At least 1-5+ years of experience preferred
    • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
    • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice Team Details Virginia Mason received the designation as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence in 2006. This means we aim to provide the highest quality care and best outcomes for weight loss, including evaluation, surgery, and post-operative management. Virginia Mason has been accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program Central to these efforts is the Bariatric Surgery team consisting of Director Jeff Hunter MD, Lily Chang MD, Mohan Mallipeddi MD, and Bariatric Program Manager, Connie Miller. The team works closely with the Nutrition Center of Excellence .
