Quality Clinicians is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Federal Way, Washington.Job Description & Requirements

    Notes obtained By: Phone implementation 6/10/2021 with Amber Gibson RN, Simonne Stofer RN, Courtney Heller and Christine Stevens, Manager of Cath Lab, IR and vascular.
    # suites/labs 1 cath lab, 1 IR/Vascular lab, 4 bed recovery area
    #cases per day on average Avg 6 cases a day + add ons as needed
    Required Certifications "RNs- BLS, ACLS

    Techs- RCIS or RTR with CI certification. BLS and ACLS"
    Common diagnoses/Types of patients "Right and left heart cath with or without intervention, pacemakers, ports, TEEs and cardioversions. No structural hearts

    IR- G-tubes, dialysis lines, PE and GI bleeds, No cardiac

    Vascular- venus and arterial leg cases "
    Job Duties "RN Travelers are not usually assigned to prep and recovery, unless for occasional break coverage

    Tech duties are to scrub"
    Experience or 'Must have' skills "Minimum of 2 years' experience
    Moderate sedation certification/experience
    Cath lab experience REQUIRED, IR and Vascular are preferred, but they will train the right person "
    EMR/Equipment EPIC & MacLab
    Cardiologist hours/on call 24/7 coverage
    Manager/Charge Nurse There are two charge nurses and a lead tech. Manager assists with cases as well
    Shifts & Scheduling x4 10 hour shifts 0
    Weekend Requirement Weekend call is approx. once a month, possibly more.
    Call Requirement: Avg call is 9-11 days per month, this includes weekend call- for both RNs and Techs.
    Holiday/Call Requirement rotation with perm staff
    What is call response time? 30 minutes
    Floating Requirements Not outside of department. Only between Cath lab, IR and Vascular, all one unit.
    Scrub Color/Dress Code Provided- must wear hospital scrubs
    Unit/Department specific orientation EPIC class, orientation packet and online modules to complete. On for 2 weeks with a charge nurse doing cases before they would have to take call
    Additional Notes Seeking a team player and someone who is flexible. This is a small team. Could start in Cath lab then assigned to an IR case, wherever the need is.
