Job Description:
Psychologists are psychological assessment and consultation
specialists, perform psycho-diagnostic evaluations, psychological
testing according to the area of expertise, and clinical
consultation services. Additionally, psychologists may supervise
post-doctoral clinicians working toward licensure in psychology,
other trainees, and masters prepared clinicians. Psychologists will
be available for consultation and case review and may participate
in utilization management and review activities. Appropriate
documentation of all services, according to clinic policy, is
required.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high ethical standards
including and beyond all company, state/federal policies,
procedures, and regulationsApply ethical and legal principles to
the placement and treatment of clients with mental health problems
in an outpatient setting, ensuring that clients receive appropriate
mental health care. These include, but are not limited to,
one-on-one and group therapy, ongoing patient assessment, and
liaising with clinical and community organizationsEnsure compliance
with all Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines by,
among other things, upholding the policies and procedures of the
company and all HIPAA requirementsUphold all rules and regulations
governing mental health confidentialityComplete diagnostic clinical
interviews and/or neurobehavioral status exams to determine current
mental status and functioning and determine medical necessity for
any psychological testing services recommendedDocument those
interviews thoroughly, including an assessment of the mental
statusComplete necessary documentation to authorize payment for
recommended testing services from third-party insurersAdminister
and score all psychological tests used in the assessment of
individualsPerform analysis and interpretation services for all
assessment and testing methods used in the evaluation of
individuals, completing a formal assessment report for each person
for whom assessment services are providedAs indicated, meet with
individuals, family members, or collateral community caregivers to
discuss assessment results and service implicationsAs indicated,
consult with the clinical staff at NorthEast about assessments
performedAs indicated, work with a psychometry technician who
administers and scores tests used in the completion of an
assessmentAs indicated, provide clinical supervision to associate
psychologists trained in a closely related field, unlicensed
post-doctoral psychologists-in-training, or pre-doctoral psychology
associatedUtilize evidence-based treatment methods in treating and
evaluating clientsProvide resources and information to help clients
define goals; implement treatment plans; and achieve personal,
social, educational, and vocational developmentCoordinate provision
of and may act as liaison with clinical services for patients with
other programs, community agencies, and/or medical servicesProvide
excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while
developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective
listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression
and/or anxietyPossess the clinical assessment skills to identify
real or potential adverse events during treatment where treatment
should be interrupted or terminatedRemain up-to-date on industry
knowledge, technologies, and certifications/licensures. Attend
seminars, workshops, CEUs, and conferences to meet the requirements
of licensure and compliance with all facility protocols,
procedures, and guidelinesProcess, Report, Record and Communicate
patient care and patient needs to appropriate providers in a clear
and timely manner using the technology providedProvide timely,
accurate, and concise documentation of client care; legibly
document all client encounters in electronic medical records within
48 hours of seeing patientsInform the supervisor and psychiatric
staff of the significant change in a clients functioningAdvise
medical personnel of the clients medical or physical restrictions
or needsSupport the smooth and safe function of the office and the
company as a whole in pursuit of its missionProvide crisis
intervention as requestedProvide documented supervision for
unlicensed mental health staff as required by the State, if
qualifiedAttend staff meetings, as well as other meetings as
requiredSchedule patient appointments using medical scheduling
software. Answer phone calls in a professional mannerPerforms
additional duties as needed up to and including the willingness to
be flexible by possibly traveling to other facilities and adjusting
your schedule to meet patient needsQualificationsDoctoral Degree in
psychology from an accredited college or universityCertified as a
Health Service Provider by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
in PsychologyCurrent, valid, unrestricted licensure to practice in
Massachusetts as a board-certified psychologistStrong computer
abilities and proficiency with google suite and electronic medical
recordsKnowledge of medical terminology and clinical
pharmacologyUnderstand and comply with HIPAAExcellent communication
skills and ability to work well with a team, especially in
stressful situationsAbility to provide telehealthThe desire to do a
thorough job in a fast-paced environment must be detail-oriented
and highly organizedAble to maintain professionalism with patients
and teammates in a mental health settingCreate a safe, effective
work environment that is patient-focusedExperience with EMR
(electronic medical records), medical terminology, and a basic
understanding of clinical pharmacologyExperience working with
patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression is
preferredPrior outpatient therapy experienceAbility to train and
coach other employeesExceptional interpersonal, rapport-building,
