  • A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
  • Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks of your assignment.
  • Expect 25+ hours.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must hold an active BLS, ACLS and WA License.
    • 2 full years of experience.
    • ACLS/code experience/IR experience.
    • Strongly prefer prep/recovery skills.
      • Schedule Information
      • Four 10 hour shifts/week.
      • Weeknight/Call Requirement: Typically 2 days/week.
      • Weekend/Call Requirement: Typically only 1 weekend/month, sometimes 2.
      • Holiday/Call Requirement: Occasional.
      • Total call approx 10 days/month.
      • Call response time: 30 min.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Cath Lab RN.
        • # suites/labs: 2 labs + 1 prep/recovery.
        • #cases per day on average: 4-5/room.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CAD, stemi's.
        • Do see a lot of random IR cases including embolization, inari, ekos, vascular angiogram/angioplastys.
        • Job Duties: RN's do not scrub at this time. Only sedate and monitor mac lab.
        • EMR/Equipment: EPIC for charting. We use balloon pumps for cath lab, but no impella.
        • Cardiologist hours/on call: On call weekdays is 1730-0700.
        • Cath Lab Techs: We have approx 5 RCIS's.
        • Floating Requirements: YES. We go back and forth daily/weekly. IR skills required.
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided for staff.
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 weeks orientation.
