Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (20:00 - 06:30) Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required Must-Have: Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience required. Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub required. Experience in surgical cases such as Orthopedics, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gynecology, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants is required. Ophthalmology experience preferred. Description: This position is for a Sterile Processing Technician working night shifts, Monday to Friday, with one rotating weekend per month. The daily caseload per technician is 65 surgical cases, with a tray volume of 1,200. Weekend requirements are included. On-call duty is required twice a month, including rotating weekends. The candidate should not expect to float between units. Orientation consists of 40 hours of training. The ideal candidate should have the ability to handle a substantial volume of surgical preparation and packaging. Candidates must respond to specific questions for manager review during the hiring process. Travelers are expected to float between units when required.
