Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Seattle,
Washington, 98104! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years
required, 3 years preferred License: Compact License or single
state license acceptable Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS and
CPI preferred Must-Have: - Proficiency in the interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias - Experience with IV starts, telemetry,
and medical/surgical nursing Description: Position available for a
Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg/Telemetry specialty. The shift is
nights, working 12-hour shifts. This position is for a duration of
13 weeks. Experience in telemetry is required, with a strong
preference for candidates with at least 3 years of nursing
experience. Candidates must be proficient in the interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias. There will be a test on dysrhythmias as
part of the hiring process. The patient population includes
medicine, cardiology, telemetry, and surgical/vascular patients.
Additional patient populations may include orthopedic,
neurological, gynecological, and urological cases. The typical
nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 on nights. Weekend coverage is
required, with a flexible schedule to meet unit needs. Candidates
will float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs.
Certifications required include BCLS and skills in phlebotomy. ACLS
and CPI certifications are preferred but not mandatory. Travelers
will be expected to place their own IVs and perform blood draws.
Charting will be done using a specified electronic system. The unit
supports interdisciplinary collaboration, with services such as
physical therapy and pharmacy available. Previous charge experience
is preferred but not required. Candidates must be open to working
with trauma and vulnerable populations. No first-time travelers
will be accepted for this position. Candidates must be willing to
work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
