We continue to innovate and seek curious individuals to join our diverse team.The AWS Sales Compensation Management (SCM) team is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to enhance our mission-critical Sales Compensation Management application. This role requires technical expertise and an understanding of business needs to develop solutions that enable swift, informed decisions. Candidates should have experience across all phases of the application development lifecycle, building scalable models that balance accuracy, flexibility, and speed. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with Sales Compensation Management tools like Varicent, Callidus, Xactly, or Spiff is preferred.Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes.
  • Deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient applications, managing all development phases including requirements gathering, modeling, design, development, testing, deployment, integration, and documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that accelerate cycle times, reduce manual processes, and ensure accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to drive innovation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing sales performance management solutions, including system configuration, model building, data security, and reporting.
  • Experience with enterprise-level Sales Compensation Management applications (e.g., Varicent, Xactly, Optymyze).
  • Master's degree in relevant fields is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and business teams.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2 and S3, and advanced knowledge of SQL, Oracle, OLAP, data warehousing, and scripting languages like Java, Python, or Perl.
