Job Description:
An Integration and Automation Engineer in Project Kuiper - MAC
Software Development team is responsible for (1) Integration of the
the MAC sub-system with the control-plane, data-plane and radio
subsystems of the satellite payload and ground systems, and (2)
Test Automation for driving the MAC-SW running on Kuiper payload HW
and the RF instrumentation and test set ups (VSA, VNA, VSGs,
Satellite Channel Emulators, anechoic chamber control etc.). The
engineer will develop integration and test plans working closely
with systems engineering, software engineering and hardware
engineering and RF integration teams, and develop software in
Python/C/C++/LabView for triggering system use cases, executing
tests, collecting results and generating reports. Ideal candidate
will have integration and test automation experience one or more
areas of cellular wireless communication, optical fiber
communications, satellite communications switching and routing,
industrial control systems, aerospace or instrumentation
engineering. Strong scripting skills required in Python and
experience with exposure to LabView or similar. Experience of using
RF test equipment is desirable. Experience with developing SW C/C++
will be desirable. Export Control Requirement Due to applicable
export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S.
citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green
Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or
granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Software development in
Python/LabView/C/C++/Rust - Integration and test plans development
closely working with systems engineering, software engineering and
hardware engineering and RF integration teams - Develop integration
and test automation for driving the MAC-SW running on Kuiper
payload HW and the RF instrumentation and test set ups (VSA, VNA,
VSGs, Satellite Channel Emulators, anechoic chamber control etc.),
for triggering system use cases, executing tests, collecting
results and generating reports. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 4 years of
non-internship professional software development testing experience
- 2 years of test automation frameworks and tools building
experience - Experience programming with at least one modern
language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of overall system
architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a
database environment - 4 years of test automation frameworks and
tools building experience - Experience debugging, diagnosing, and
troubleshooting complex, production software issues Amazon is an

the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base
pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest
geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic
market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market
location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,
