Job Description Job Description Associate Attorney - UM / UIM Defense Associate Attorney - UM / UIM Defense (Hybrid) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team, focusing on Uninsured Motorist (UM) and Underinsured Motorist (UIM) defense. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in insurance defense and personal injury law to effectively represent our clients and achieve successful outcomes in litigation. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in UM and UIM defense cases through all phases of litigation. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests to support case strategy. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve cases favorably. Participate in mediation and trial preparation to ensure readiness for court proceedings. Manage case files and maintain accurate records of case progress and communications. Consult with clients to provide legal advice and keep them informed about their cases. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Washington. 5 years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury law preferred. Strong negotiation and litigation skills. Experience in case management and trial preparation. Ability to draft legal documents with precision and clarity. Excellent communication and client consultation skills.
