Job Description Our client is an early-stage biotechnology company focused on increasing lung cancer survival rates by detecting the disease early, at a pre-invasive stage when treatment success is highest. Cells from sputum are imaged with the company-developed Cell-CT, which captures 3D images at sub-micron resolution. These cell images are then analyzed using artificial intelligence to identify cells showing abnormal features. This company plans to commercialize its proprietary assay for early lung cancer detection and is building a new laboratory. A recent grant from the Andy Hill Cancer Fund will support the development of the third version of the proprietary Test. We will work with our manufacturing partner, Spartonics, to scale up the Cell-CT for mass production. This company is offering a temporary contract position for a laboratory technician. This role may become full-time in early September and may be become a full time positions after. Key Responsibilities: • Aid in setting up VisionGate’s temporary lab at new address • Accession several hundred specimens in VisionGate’s specimen bank • Assemble the disposable PrepJet specimen container • Load PrepJets with cells in glass syringes • Merge loaded PrepJets with the cartridge that interfaces cells with the Cell-CT • Load the Cell-CT with specimens and monitor cell processing • Maintain reagent and materials inventory.
